Moon Byul – Think About & TOUCHIN&MOVIN. MAMAMOO solo releases are always fun. Byul’s new album was no exception. Big brash pop tunes and cheesy dance moves from the tallest of the Moomoos. (By one centimetre, apparently)
TEN – Nightwalker. Another solo release, this time it’s TEN from various NCT subgroups, including WayV, their group marketed at Chinese audiences. His videos are always worth seeing, because his dance moves upstage literally anyone sharing a screen with him. The closing track of the album, Lie With You, was also a firm favourite this year. We may have a tiny crush on this Thai dreamboat.
(G)-IDLE – Revenge. Third video from their 2nd album. Another Soyeon penned number. She must be starting to rival Moon Byul for prolific songwriting chops. It’s already looking like 2024 is (G)-IDLE’s year, if it wasn’t for…
LE SSERAFIM – EASY. First mini-album of the year for the Fimmies. This would be top tier material for any other act, especially given that they somehow make shittyfluting sound cool, but their releases over the year would just grow and grow.
